Kati Rolls is my new favorite spot in the city! They are spicy mixes of meat and vegetables rolled in Indian flat bread. The restaurant has a bright orange banner that says KATI. The inside of the restaurant isn't very pretty-- it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for an eternity. That's going to cost Kati a pineapple :( A giant menu hangs on the wall with a variety of 13 choices of rolls. You can choose from beef, lamb, shrimp, chicken, pork, fish, and vegetable mixes. We order four Shami Kabab rolls, which is minced lamb and lentil patty with herbs and spices. They are sooo good! The ground lamb is very spicy, and I tasted a tangy flavor from some sort of sauce. We also order two Shrimp Masala rolls, which is grilled tiger shrimp marinated in coconut milk and an array of spices. The shrimp is very tender and sweet (coconut milk) and it has a nice kick because of the several different spices. It also came with a yummy green sauce. This restaurant was delicious, and they have two other locations here in NY and one in London. Check out www.thekatirollcompany.com for more information! Overall, I give Kati Rolls 4 pineapples! Can't wait to go to its other locations. See ya- tdg
P.S. My mom had a snapple "Go Banana" juice drink-- it looks disgusting, but I'm telling you, its delicious! Definitely recommended if you are half monkey!
