Boston's-- Naples, Florida
Hello everyone-- for my spring break I am in Naples, Florida with my grandparents, and I am happy to try out some cool restaurants. On our way back from the Naples Zoo (go there, it's amazing) we stop at a continental restaurant called Boston's. The menu is humongous-- there is almost too large of a selection. The menu is around 12 pages long and includes nachos, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, meats and many other things. But they aren't very big on veggies. Only two salads. I order a large bowl of twisted mac&cheese with bread crumble and grilled sausages. It is okay. The crumble contributes a nice crunch, but there is just too much cheese. It overpowers the entire dish and ruins it after 10 bites. The sausage is a bit too chewy. My grandpa orders a plain cheese pizza, but for some reason there is pepperoni inside the pizza, so he sends it back and gets a new one. It is a long wait. Finally, the waitress comes back with a hearty pizza that is good, with hot melted cheese and warm tomato sauce. The crust is badly burnt, though. I drink some apple juice from a can, but it tastes a bit funky, so I don't really enjoy it. Two days later, we come back for me to have a quick bite, so I order the fish tacos with cole slaw, tomato salsa, red onions and spicy jalapeños. The sides of the flour tortillas were a little burnt that supplemented a small crunch, which I particularly enjoyed. The fish is freshly cooked and all the veggies add a crunch and extra flavor. And Boston's is right-- their jalapeños are spicy! Overall, I give Boston's 3 1/2 pineapples. Till next time-tdg
