Rosemary's-- 18 Greenwich Ave, NY
Rosemary's is an awesome new Italian restaurant in the Village, and it is already killing it. They have a big spacious corner, their own garden for fresh herbs and vegetables and are working on building a chicken coop on the roof! We decided to go early to get a seat, but I guess other people were thinking the same thing, because it was packed. We ended up sitting at the bar, but our waitress was very kind and made it better than a regular table. To start, my dad ordered the arugula salad with oranges and grapefruit. I thought the arugula was a bit too bitter, but the oranges were sweet and juicy. For our entrees, my mom and I ordered the orecchiette with homemade sausage, broccoli rabe and hot peppers. This is definitely the best orecchiette I've ever had in my life, even better than Nick and Toni's. The pasta itself was so pillowy and chewy, and the rest of the dish was pure deliciousness. My dad ordered the porchetta. It was okay, but he was still hungry, so he ordered our orecchiette. Who wouldn't? For dessert, they gave us a hazelnut covered chocolate cake (I don't like chocolate, if you didn't know) and strawberries. Our waitress treated us. Overall, I give Rosemary's 4 pineapples. Till next time-- tdg
