Sea Me-- Lisbon, Portugal

I know, what a great name!  Sea me serves Japanese food, and supposedly has the best sushi in the city.  I was expecting a lot from this place, and it definitely met my expectations!  The restaurant had a very cool layout; a huge sushi bar, a big shelf of ice with whole fish in it, crazy colored mirrors on the walls, and a huge white table in the center of the restaurant.  But let me get right to the sushi-- I ordered 6 piece salmon sushi, but unfortunately they were just salmon roll.  Booooooorrrrriiiiiinnnnnngggggg.  I also had the spicy tuna roll-- now that was the best part of the night.  We even requested a second order of the roll afterwards because it was so good.  It was a very different take on it though, since instead of using spicy mayo, Sea Me used a japanese style tabasco, which added a great kick.  On the outside of the roll, it was sprinkled with a japanese red pepper mix, which added lots of different flavors. (pic above)  Delicious roll.  We also ordered a salmon avocado roll and a soft shell crab roll.  They were both just average.  My mom ordered the scallops, but at first they were undercooked so we sent them back.  When they returned, they were sweet and tender-- the mango salsa with corn really made the dish.  We also ordered the almond crusted shrimp tempura, which came very hot and super crisp, and sweet/tender on the inside.  It just needed a better dipping sauce.  At the end, I was still hungry for salmon, so I ordered actual sushi, and wow was that good salmon.  Actually may have been the greatest piece of salmon nigiri I've ever had in my entire life.  It literally melted. Melted. Just amazing.  Overall, I give Sea Me 3 1/2 pineapples-- if this is the best sushi in town, some portugese people should come and try Cherry....
