Peels Restaurant - 325 Bowery, New York
Peels is a cozy restaurant that my dad and I went to one night. We looked at the menu, and everything sounded delicious. It was quiet that night, but there was a beautiful upstairs area to eat. So we ate up there. We got a nice table and ordered. I ordered the Fried Chicken- which was only okay. The skin tasted salty, and crispy, which was the best part. Usually, that's the only thing that matters to me. But when I bit into the chicken, all I tasted was fat. There was barely any good meat, and all the meat that I found was completely tasteless. Ew! I ordered it with a side of fries, though. They were thick, salty, and to describe in one word, awesome. They gave me a ketchup-- not heinz, but a spicy pepper ketchup. It made a perfect dipping sauce. I have to get more of that brand. My dad ordered the Roasted Pork Loin Chop. When he tasted it, he said that it wasn't cooked enough, so my dad sent it back. When it came back, it looked perfect. I had a bite, and it was juicy and full of flavor. I really liked the design of the restaurant, and the service was great. Good meal. Overall, I give it 3 pineapples. Till next time- tdg
