Back Forty West- 70 Prince street, New York

Back Forty West just recently opened and it looked like a nice little spot to grab a bite for lunch.  We got a seat right away.  The benches were made out of a blond wood, which was very comfortable.  Good music was playing.  I noticed that bottles for water, cream and syrup were different sized milk bottles, very cool.  The menu sounded delicious.  I ordered the Grass Fed Burger with spicy house made ketchup, cheese, and rosemary fries.  My dad ordered the same thing and my mom ordered the Grilled Kale and Escarole salad with creamy parmesan dressing, white anchovies, fried capers and crispy chickpeas, with a side of bacon.  My mom's Kale salad came first.  The salad was a little too salty and wet.  The bacon was amazing.  My burger was spectacular.  The meat was juicy and tender, the cheese melted in your mouth, lettuce gave a crunch, and the rosemary fries were superb.  They were herby, crispy, and warm.  The spicy ketchup gave a nice kick to the meal.  This place is off to a really good start.  When I come back next time, I'm getting the fried chicken and waffles for brunch.  I give Back Forty West 4 pineapples.  Till next time- tdg
