Strip House- 13 East 12th st, New York

My mom wanted a steak, so we decided to go to the best place in the area- Strip House.  The restaurant was bustling, but we got a nice seat in the lounge area.  The atmosphere of the restaurant was great.  It was very dark, but I could make out the velvet chairs and the round glass table.  There was a huge bar with people talking very loudly and waiters moving around like The Flash.  It extended forever and the entire place seemed very mysterious.  My dad ordered the Crispy Skin Scottish Salmon.  The texture was flaky but moist.  Perfectly prepared.  My mom and I shared the New York Strip Steak.  The outside was not as seared as I wanted it, but was instead too fatty.  The middle of the steak was pink, juicy and tender, just the way I like it.  We ordered sides of Garlic Herb French Fries and Sauteed Green Beans with garlic.  The fries were just good.  Nothing special about them.  The string beans were squeaky and yummy, lots of flavor.    Overall, I only give Strip House 3 1/2 pineapples.  See ya- tdg
