La Finestra-- Prague, Czech Republic
We were already tired of Czech food, so we decided on some Italian. It was a cute little spot with wine stacked up on the walls and a large kitchen with delicious aromas flowing through the doors to my nose. I was in the mood for some pasta, but nothing looked good to me, so I asked for linguine with tomato sauce and a venison ragu, and it was absolutely perfect. The linguine was delicious, with a nice garlic flavor, and the venison was very tender and not gamy. The dish also came with sweetbread, which I originally thought was sweet scallops. My mom told me what it really was-- thymus. Scary but still yummy. My mom and dad both ordered the Sea Bream with vegetables and a side of spinach. The bream was very delicate and fresh. The zucchini and fennel was served grilled and delicious. I thought the spinach was way too bitter. Overall, I give La Finestra 3 1/2 pineapples. Till next time-- tdg
