The best place to be on New Year's eve is in the Old Town main square in Prague. There are little food huts everywhere, varying from potato salad, kebabs, hot dogs, trdelnik, potato chips on a stick, full hams, and etc. We decided to start with a fat hot dog, which the people there call sausage. The bun was extremely warm and fluffy, and the sausage itself was meaty and juicy. It was extremely flavorful with garlicky seasoning! I hate how those dirty water dogs are always so thin and you can eat them in 3 bites. After that, we had a special type of donut that the people of Prague seem to love. They make them by putting flat rolled dough on a stick and rolling it in cinnamon sugar, and then spinning it over an open fire. You get a really hot, fluffy and sweet trdelnik that you have to rip off in pieces to eat. Later when we came out again, we bought a large chunk of open pit roasted ham and a potato sauerkraut salad. The ham was a bit too salty, but melted in your mouth. I didn't really like the potato salad-- too mushy. To rate all the foods: sausage-- 5 pineapples trdelnik-- 4 pineapples ham and potato salad-- 3 pineapples. So overall, I rate the outdoor market food.....
4 pineapples. See ya- tdg
