If you want the freshest catch of the day, you should stop by the bell and anchor. I love their logo, it's so creative! It has a bell with its rope entwining the anchor like a &. Pretty cool. We sat at the best booth in the house, looking out to the bay. And the sun was just setting. What an image! To start, they brought us delicious hot bread with soft butter, which was definitely heart warming and yummy. For my main meal, I had the tuna bowl with diced yellow fin, cucumber, spinach, oranges and sesame seeds. What a delicious bowl! I've had good meals like this before, but that orange was killing it! It contributed an amazing sweetness and tartness that really uplifted the dish. I was very happy. My mom and uncle both had the ciopinno. I only tasted some of the broth on bread and a spoonful of calamari, but that was definitely enough to satisfy me. All the flavors mixed together perfectly. My mom loved it so much that she was licking the tomato broth off the bowl! Only bears are supposed to do that! One problem: originally the bread came with aioli spread over it. People are so obsessed with cream and cheese these days! My dad had the black bass special. That was a big fish! Very generous portion. It was definitely well cooked and tender, but overall too bland. Needed a lot more seasoning. Overall, I give Bell and Anchor 4 pineapples. Till next time!
